My sister and I tried to revive our interest to try (Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf) CBTL. Albeit we’ve tried it before but apparently we didn’t like what we ordered the last time, ergo a 2^nd chance wouldn’t be a harm at all. haha.

So we ordered non-coffee ice blended drinks- pure chocolate and green tea.

Gosh! Can I just say I love the green tea! It has Matcha green tea extracts with it, but you won’t be able to taste its grassy-ness. It’s well blended with the creamy flavor of non-fat milk that they put on it aside from the whip cream. Starbucks has good green tea as well only when you put on some hazelnut syrup into it, haha. That’s for me. XD. Anyway, I tried green tea so that I can be healthy for some time in my life. I feel like my system is already full of MSG. We’ll definitely go back there! JJ

After spending much time at CBTL with my sister, we waited for our friends, James and John, to attend to one of the most prestigious fashion event in the country which is The Philippine Fashion Week. We attended Penshoppe’s Trail Blazer. Twas held at SMX Convention Center Function Rooms 4 & 5. 

At the escalator, we saw Danica Magpantay, the top model who just won as Ford Models Supermodel of the World Philippines 2010. The line was indeed horrible so we tried on going to another line since we already have our tickets with us. When it was my turn to register, I surrendered my KBP ID, and then the lady in the front desk asked me from what station did I work with? I told her at Mellow 94.7. And then she asked me how was it then I said it was fine and that I actually moved to another company in Makati City. She then smiled at me while putting on my wrist band. Hahaha. 

When we entered the place, it has the bar atmosphere, there were disco balls all around. 

The event started late, the commercial was long. Moreover, they have champagnes and some finger foods. 

Models finally ramped the cat walk. Victor Basa, Sollen Heussaff, the endorsers did the first and also the final walk, yet unfortunately Akihiro Sato wasn’t present in the fashion show.

I consider myself lucky whenever it’s Friday the 13^th, ergo, perhaps it doesn’t entail a bad omen for me. Haha. It’s evidently true enough because last Friday, one of our bosses treats us lunch at Sango! Master Burger which is located just near our office. I ordered for BLT Burger with cheese only but Sir Marvin told me to have it upgraded to Master Quencher wherein French fries and a drink will be added to my meal.

While eating our burgers and fries and sipping on our drinks, my bosses talked about different stuff about editing, final cut, technology, their work experiences, and among others. I can hardly relate to some of their discussion because I don’t have that knowledge when it comes to technical terms.

Anyhoo, my stomach was indeed very happy. I consumed my meal very fast. I finished it without any left overs.

The BLT Burger with cheese has well grilled burger patty, fresh lettuce, onions and tomatoes inside that really melts in my mouth, while the sauce like mustard with catsup and mayo really blends well enough. You can’t also resist the crispiness of its bacon, compared with the bacon of the sandwich from The Sandwich Guy, which was not well cooked enough the last time I ordered there. Every bite makes you want to finish the whole burger in less than a minute, srsly. French fries was good as well, and oh, I’m very particular when it comes to iced tea, I’m glad that their iced tea tastes with a zest of lemonade, unlike Lipton which for me tastes really awful.

I highly recommend you to have a bite of Sango! Master Burger!

My “unemployed” days are finally over! I currently have my OJT at Zap! Visual Effects Management Corporation & The Dollhouse Productions in Makati City. Even though the travel hour is quite long and not to mention, costly, I still fell in love with my workplace for its contemporary design. Zap! Productions has 3 units in Mile Long building, the first two units are on the 2^nd floor while the other one, which is called “The Dollhouse” is on the 3^rd floor. 

I love the design of Dollhouse because it has more space compared to the other units. Moreover, it was newly built and established because Zap! Productions came up with this new idea of putting up their own production studio for them to be able to expand and cross the line of not just providing computer graphics & post production (3D-effects, color grading and among others) to their prospects.

Together with my co-interns, we tried this game and this was really awesome! It definitely set my adrenaline rush to the highest peak!

In addition, Dollhouse also has a huge LCD TV with X-box and Playstation 3 which are meant for their clients so that they can play with those while waiting for their turn/meeting.

This is the Da Vinci Resolve machine which is used for color grading.  We’ve experienced using it and we were also taught how to use it by one of Asia’s Top Colorist Emilio Batungbacal. Using it is like you’re a Disk Jockey doing scratching. When I asked Sir Emil, when did he start working as a colorist, he told me he worked before at my home town a long time ago, pertaining to South Korea, haha.

On the other hand, what I like most about our building is that it’s just beside Teppen, a Korean-Japanese grocery and other Asian restaurants. Ergo, I feel like I’m in Little Asia and that this work was really meant for me. :):)

Yesterday which is the 7th of May 2011, My co-interns and I went mall hopping at Makati City. From Greenbelt 1-5 to Glorietta 1-5 and Landmark. Long walk is fun coz you get to see many things. Anyway, so we had fraps from Starbucks during happy hours and we pigged out at North Park for Chinese foods. nom nom nom!

So far, twas a fun experience indeed and I’m looking forward of exploring more of my new world. :)

I’m currently having my OJT at Zap! Productions and Doll House Productions.

I’ve worked with them before as their talent. The photos below shows the outtakes of the chroma shoot we did last March this year. 

I love my workplace for its contemporary hippie design, especially the Doll House. I’ll post decent photos soon. :) and oh! our building is just beside a Korean-Japanese grocery and other Asian restos. I feel like I’m in Little Asia. *nirvana*

So this is it, I have co-interns from Miriam College as well working in Zap!/Dollhouse Productions which includes Lee (my blockmate), Roxy and Queenie. Actually, Lee, Roxy and I have worked with Zap! Productions before as their talent for the chroma shoot they did last March just this year. It was held at the Caritas Seminar Room in Miriam College and they even paid us a TF (talent fee). The shoot took about more or less 11 hours which was actually for me, normal because I’ve already experienced doing shoots for our Digital Filmmaking class and I know that a day may just not be enough.

We just had a TVC shoot last Thursday, and apparently, I can’t reveal it yet, it’s a top secret! but you bettah watch out for it on local TV networks. :)

I gotta prepare for work nao! ja ne!
